Beautifully detailed pair of candlesticks in a neoclassical design with an Asian influence. The female figures are nude with drape across their hips and appear to be standing on an elephant. A foo dog and serpent are featured between the maidens. There is a circle of smaller elephants around the bottom which signify strength and high moral standards. Dragons on the bottom section signify good fortune. Has a 1.75” opening on the top for candle. Heavy and sturdy. Made in Italy.

In very good vintage condition. Wear is consistent with age and use.
