A rare and lovely bronze mountain lion/panther/cougar on the rim of a rose and gray colored marble ashtray. Ashtrays like this are hardly seen these days and as such are quite special. The marble is a beautiful rose color and has several deep natural fissures in the veining. The edge has some nibbles but none of this detracts from the beauty of the piece. It measures 7 1/2" in diameter. The piece is unmarked but most likely Austrian. From the late Art Nouveau or early Art Deco period.. Circa 1915-1920.
A perfect desk accessory for holding paper clips, office clips or on a gentleman's chest for holding pocket change or keys.

Measures 7.5"W x 3.5"H

In very good vintage condition. One small nick along the rim, but due to the coloring, it is not noticeable.
