Lovely and rare German vase v169 by Anneliese Beckh for Schmider, known as a heart or "bum" vase. High gloss finish with a black background, paint streaks of white, pink, blue, green and yellow. After the war, If you were anywhere near hip, you would go for modern patterns for your walls, your furnishings, and your home accessories. German retro, mid century modern, organic vase, which is hard to find in this shape and pattern. Acquired on a recent buying trip to the UK.

In very good condition. Has a hairline crack along the top, which is not easy to see. See last photo for close up.
